Our story
Community spaces should be easy to open.
Every town has a hall, a church basement, a lodge, a gathering spot in the park — rooms that were built so neighbours could gather. Most of them sit empty most weeks, not because nobody needs them, but because the people running them are volunteers, and saying yes to a booking is more work than it should be.
Koina is built for those rooms. The goal isn't to turn a community hall into a hotel — it's to make the calendar obvious, the booking honest, and the paperwork small enough to fit between a Tuesday meeting and a Saturday wedding.
We're early. If your community runs a space and you'd like to try Koina, please get in touch — the more honest feedback we hear from real hosts, the better the next version will be.
